CALM and Collage With MS.V
Hello Good Peoples,
Yeah indeed, I know that I have been missing from this blog.
UGH! Yes life is happening and sometimes it's just down right painful.
We have had 3 deaths in our family and I have been working on books and school visits as well as something very special that
I will share with you all at a later time.
My sister and I have been doing Calm and Collage classes online.
I share it mostly on Instagram and Facebook. Calm and Collage
is an online Zoom class that focuses on calming ones mind, soul and heart with a short mediation that brings relief to the body and body, soul and spirit. Then we play and create artwork together.
There is something so very healing about Collage. The ripping, tearing and cutting of paper. The painting of it as well. Piecing it together like a puzzle causes you to use the right side of the brain. Helping to you figure it out. The process becomes meditative.
Yeah, I could have done a Pateron, but this class is way different.
I am not an Art Therapist , but I have to tell you, more people come to these sessions as they need a safe place just to be and create.
I find that we are holding our breath and not doing deep breathing which is causing so much stress, depression and anxiety within. Some of us have to go to the Dr. and get checked. Please take care of yourself, but then there are other ways to get relief into your life.
Calm and Collage is one of them.
I will be posting the date on Instagram and Facebooks as well.
The date is December 26th 6pm Eastern Time. Yes the day after Christmas. What better time than that?! As parents or adults, we tend to take care of everyone else for Christmas, but do nothing for our own selves. Children are invited to come as well.
Self care is so very important and needed. Please join us with copy paper, mixed media paper. found paper like magazines, newpaper, comics, scrapbooking paper, insides of envelopes. Basically any paper that you find interesting. You will need paint. The basic colors of black, white, red, blue and yellow. Some cheap brushes. The cheaper the better. Two pairs of sisccors. A nice sharp pair and a kid friendly pair for chopping. Some watersoluable crayons such as Caran 'D Ache or Tim Holtz, regular crayons, colored pencils, Posca or Grabie paint pens, oil or soft pastel and a sketchbook for sketching out your fabulous ideas for your collage. Any art supplies that speak to you, you are so very welcome to use during our 2 hr. session.
I hope that you will consider coming and spending time with us.
If you wish to sign up just go to Contact and leave an email and we will send you the Zoom information for the class. We are looking forward to seeing you in class.
I hope that all is well with each of you. Sending the biggest hugs ever
to you all.
